Everyday | 2014 | thermal paper, enamel paint and gold leaf on glass

Coming out of my work with printing technologies, these images are made on thermally sensitive paper of the kind that is used in antique fax machines. These are documents of actions and objects in my life that produce heat. Thermal paper from till receipt printers was used to capture the heat signature of everyday habits and appliances. These images were shown alongside enamel and gold leafed paintings of text taken from receipts. The text consisted mostly of platitudes common to the retail setting.
